About Megan
Hello! I'm Megan, a BA (Hons) Popular Music graduate from the University of Gloucestershire with a passion for helping others develop their musical knowledge and confidence.
Alongside my degree, I hold ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory and have studied a wide range of musical topics, including music theory, songwriting, composition, singing and piano. Throughout my studies, I've developed a strong understanding of how music works and enjoy helping others make sense of concepts that can sometimes seem challenging.
I am dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace. I look forward to assisting you in achieving your musical goals.

My lessons are customised to each student's goals, experience, and learning style. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for an ABRSM theory examination, studying GCSE or A-Level Music, or simply seeking to strengthen your understanding of music theory, I will design lessons that meet your individual needs.
I strive to make music theory clear, engaging, and enjoyable by breaking down complex topics into straightforward, manageable steps. Topics covered may include notation, rhythm, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, harmony, musical terminology, and analysis, with a pace that fosters confidence and comprehension.
As a graduate in Popular Music, I enjoy illustrating how theory relates to real-world music, often using examples from a variety of genres where appropriate. My approach is friendly, patient, and supportive, encouraging students to ask questions and develop a genuine understanding rather than simply memorising concepts.
Lessons are conducted online and face-to-face and are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults of all abilities.
