About Ranga
As a band director, I taught hundreds of students every day. This immediately taught me that no method works for everyone, and it is the teacher's job to find the path that works best for the student. It's your job to walk that path with me. I strive to meet every student where they are. During my time teaching I played professionally in the surrounding area in a variety of styles from classical to jazz to funk.

Our first lesson will involve learning about YOU, and your experience with music, as well as your instrument. I want to know what lessons mean to you so that I can help you fulfill that goal. Next, we will create a routine and assign practice work. Most importantly, we will talk about what to listen for as you practice. This way, you will be able to figure out if it's working (I will make sure you know before you log off) or if we need to try a different strategy. I want to empower you to be your own best teacher!
