About Robin
As a graduate from a Houston-area high school, and a student at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, the methods I teach are a direct reflection of Houston Music Education. I am a member of the saxophone studio here at Moores, and I perform with both the Symphonic Winds and Spirit of Houston. Although most of my time here so far has been spent performing, as a Music Education major I am excited to teach students what I have learned as a student at UH!

Hello there! My name is Robin, and I'm so glad you're interested in taking saxophone lessons with me! A typical lesson with me will involve hands-on learning how to play and improve on the instrument, as well as some fundamental musical concepts that are important for being a successful musician.
To get started, I will assess where you are in your journey with the saxophone. (Don't worry, even if you have no experience with the saxophone you can learn!) I teach beginners 12+ up through those with high school level experience.
While fundamentals are important, and will be one of our primary focuses, it is my belief that growth as a musician comes from musical experience, and so we will start learning songs & pieces as soon as we are able.
