About Owen
I am a First-Class Honours graduate in Bachelor of Music (major in Composition) from King’s College London. My work spans a range of mediums, including concert music and screen composition. I have worked on freelance projects for filmmakers and other clients via Fiverr, creating bespoke music tailored to visual and creative briefs. I regularly work using Sibelius, MuseScore, and Logic Pro X, allowing me to move seamlessly between notation-based composition and production for screen. My music has been performed in venues including Birmingham Symphony Hall and St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, and I was a finalist in the Caritas International Emerging Composer Competition (2018).

In my lessons, students bring an idea or work-in-progress piece that we develop together, exploring ways to expand, refine, or transform it for greater musical interest and coherence. I support composers through practical, hands-on work focused on strengthening structure, harmony, texture, and expression. Between sessions, I set targeted listening and writing tasks to broaden stylistic awareness and deepen your compositional toolkit.
I teach students from GCSE and A Level through to university-level composition, as well as those developing their own creative practice independently.
Sessions are available as either 30-minute or 1-hour lessons, depending on your needs and goals.
