Jack is an excellent tutor. He has been helping me become ready for the challenges that lie ahead in the gruelling English Teacher Training course CELTA. I started my lessons a couple of months ago and Jack guided me through the application process and helped me prepare for the interview and pre-interview task. After my successful application, we took a detailed look at one core area – the written assignment – and I did some mock assignments of my own for which Jack provided great feedback. We also had a look at how to teach reading lesson, structures and lexis and we discussed some of his own examples of written assignments and teaching practices.
Jack has taught me a lot in a short space of time. The progress I have made is incredible. I found that the tuition has gave me a much deeper understanding of the language. He helped me refresh my knowledge of terminology and to develop strong awareness of English systems and phonology. He knows the language very well and more importantly he knows how to teach it in a straightforward way to future English teachers. He gives useful tips and takes the time to explain clearly all aspects, approaches and techniques of teaching and analysing English. Jack creates a comfortable environment to learn in, he is rigorous, detail-oriented and very focused. He is extremely patient and approaches the lessons with enthusiasm whilst also providing challenge and invaluable feedback. I am confident to say that I am well prepared for what lies ahead in the intensive teacher training course. I would recommend Jack to anyone!
