About Evan
As a well-versed musician I have played in many styles and multiple bands on a variety of instruments. I've also been leading informal jam sessions and helped many musicians get comfortable jamming with others. I studied Piano In college and received the Emma Gauge Award in Music Excellence. As well as playing in multiple ensembles ranging from vocal harmony groups, African drumming ensemble, jazz groups, and an improvisation ensemble. I was also selected to perform a self-written piece for the graduation ceremony. I conducted a study that compared a well-known method for boosting creativity (walking in nature) with an embodiment activity that I developed and had my research publish in the 9th volume of Auspex.

I work directly with my students to create a personalized lessons plans that help them achieve their goals.
This can include helping singer/songwriters find their own style, focusing on a specific genre, learning how to play and improvise with others, songwriting, music theory.
As a multi-instrumentalist we can also work on other instruments and how to transfer skills from one instrument to another.
I'm excited to teach anyone that wants to learn so I welcome anyone who is just starting out or skilled players looking for some new tricks and ideas.
