About David
I've been a professional writer for over 30 years. Gasp! First in advertising, penning a gazillion ads for the likes of McDonald's, Kellogg's, Vitalite, Perrier, Daz, etc. Then stumbling into comedy writing, then falling into animation writing and show running - and for reasons that still baffle me - producing animated series! I learned so much. Mostly I learned that I never want to produce again... after I did it for the fourth time. Lately I've fallen again, this time into Features, both animated and live action. In this line of work, I've been teaching producers and directors how to break story. With some encouragement I took that process and ran a writer's workshop and loved it. I am busy as hell, but have time to help one or two - now and then. If I can teach an exec, I can teach you.

Like visiting a really good shrink, sometimes we can sort out your logjam (aka brain jam) in just one or two x 1 hour sessions. And then you're off and running. But it depends on what you're looking for, what you need.
IF YOU are starting from scratch, then there are sessions and assignments that will boost your skills (and confidence) and create work that gives you the best chance breaking in as a professional screenwriter. And yes, there are tricks on getting an agent.
BUT IF you're already working on something, then it's all about getting it to it's best possible polish. And that depends on what it needs. Better visualisation? Greater conflict? More engaging characters? Some just need a bit of help on structure, structure, structure. And no, not everything is 'The Hero's Journey'.
And if you only want script notes on the project you're currently writing... that is do-able, but let's talk first.
Ultimately it's all about what YOU need.
Let me know. - David
