About Briony

I am a passionate sports coach and aspiring PE teacher with over ten years of experience working with young people across sport and education. I hold a First-Class BSc in Sport Management and Coaching from the University of Bath and an MSc in High-Performance Sports Coaching, alongside a professional UEFA B Licence.
My career has given me experience supporting young people across a wide range of ages and abilities, including within elite academy football. I particularly enjoy helping young people build confidence, understand something they previously found difficult and recognise what they are capable of achieving.
I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My coaching background has taught me that everyone learns differently, so I enjoy adapting how I explain and teach things to suit the individual.
Ultimately, I want students to leave sessions feeling more confident, knowledgeable and positive about their learning than when they started.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to the individual learner, with a focus on building both understanding and confidence. I break topics down into manageable sections, use clear real-world examples and regularly check understanding through questions, discussion and short tasks.
Depending on the subject and the learner’s goals, sessions can include topic revision, exam-question practice, coursework support, study skills and preparation for assessments. Lessons would typically last around 60 minutes, although this can be adapted to suit the student.
I hold a First-Class BSc in Sport Management and Coaching from the University of Bath and an MSc in High-Performance Sports Coaching, alongside a UEFA B Licence. I also have extensive experience working with and coaching young people across different ages and abilities.
I can support students with sport and PE-related subjects, food-related studies, English and Geography, particularly at KS3 and GCSE level.
