As a professional trumpet tutor, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their musical goals through personalised instruction, encouragement, and a passion for teaching. My trumpet lessons are thoughtfully designed to help students build excellent technique, musical confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate player looking to improve, or an advanced musician preparing for auditions, examinations, competitions, or professional performances, every lesson is tailored to your individual goals and learning pace.
Students begin by developing proper posture, breathing techniques, embouchure formation, tone production, articulation, rhythm, note reading, and finger coordination. As confidence grows, lessons expand to include scales, flexibility exercises, lip slurs, range development, endurance, dynamics, phrasing, sight reading, ear training, and expressive performance.
Advanced students receive specialised coaching in orchestral repertoire, jazz improvisation, solo literature, ensemble performance, audition preparation, double tonguing, advanced articulation, and musical interpretation. Each lesson includes personalised practice plans, constructive feedback, and effective warm up routines that encourage consistent improvement while making learning enjoyable and rewarding.
