About Milena

I can be your resident French language nerd and expert!
- I am 22 years old and from Co. Wexford. Since I watched the movie Amélie when I was 10 years old, I have been passionate about the French language and began my journey in mastering the language and culture.
- My journey to fluency really began with Junior and Leaving Certificate study. I gained top marks in French language consistently throughout secondary school with a combined approach of exam preparation and curriculum study - but also by putting equal importance on fostering my passion for the language through consuming films, television, literature and speaking French outside the classroom whenever I could. This is the approach that I have incorporated into my French language teaching.
- I loved conducting private grinds in Dublin throughout my studies at Trinity College, and I am looking forward to continuing my practice online through this platform while I am working in a French language school in Tunis this year!

About the lesson

- I am a recent graduate of Middle Eastern and European Languages at Trinity College Dublin and I am currently working as a teacher in a French language school in Tunis. I am highly experienced in Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate French exam preparation from conducting private French grinds in Dublin throughout my studies.
- I understand how stressful, overwhelming and unfair the state exams can be, and I want to help you overcome them as I did and come out of the exam hall proud of yourself, and with the results you want and deserve by the end of the summer!
- Together, we will tailor a plan that will allow you to effectively study and prepare for all the components of your upcoming exams. I will identify your key areas of concern, whether it be listening, grammar, reading comprehension etc.,. We will strengthen these areas while ensuring you have a comprehensive toolkit to tackle the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert curriculum and final exam.
- The 30-45 minute lessons will be conducted primarily in French to encourage immersion.
- I will provide homework assistance, if needed. The homework I will assign will be optional, according to the students pre-existing workload, but will be highly encouraged to complete so I can offer extra guidance and notes.
- Class and homework material will primarily be past exam papers, but I will also put emphasis on the use of native French media, literature and music and hope to share my own passion for the beautiful and complex French language with you!
