About Mina

I believe music is an international language that transfers emotions and contributes to community development. As a music teacher, I aim to inspire and empower students through the gift of music. I believe that music is a powerful form of expression and a universal language that has the ability to connect people from all walks of life. Teaching music develops musical skills and cultivates discipline, creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence. I am passionate about nurturing a love for music in my students and helping them discover their potential as musicians. In addition to the personal growth and development that music education provides, there are numerous other reasons why teaching music is essential. One reason is that music education enhances cognitive skills. Research has shown that learning music can improve memory, attention, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and overall academic performance.

About the lesson

I have a lot of experience teaching music, teaching for around 27 years as an assistant maestro, principal player, and vocal coach at the Egyptian Opera House. I also contributed to many music productions, albums, and films, including Disney and others. I led many Arabic music workshops at music colleges like RNCM, Sheffield, York, and Huddersfield. I can play and teach piano, oud, nay, qanun, saz, kawala, and music theory for both Western and Eastern music. I got an MA in musicology and am now in my last year of PhD in the same subject. I also give lectures in World Music and Musicology. I also teach Arabic language.
