About Aileen
I’m Aileen, an interdisciplinary artist and creative mentor with over 15 years of professional experience in visual art, design, and creative production. I’ve worked across exhibitions, public art, and collaborative creative projects, and I bring that real-world knowledge into every lesson. I’m patient, reliable, and deeply committed to helping students feel supported and confident in their creative growth. I value clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and creating a learning environment where curiosity and self-expression are encouraged. My goal is always to help students develop skills, trust their ideas, and enjoy the creative process.

My approach as a tutor is intuitive, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s creative goals. I begin by understanding where the student is in their artistic journey and what they want to explore or improve. Lessons often combine discussion, visual examples, and hands-on exercises that focus on technique, concept development, and creative confidence.
A typical lesson may include skill-building, guided experimentation, and constructive feedback, with space for reflection and questions. I emphasize creative thinking, personal expression, and practical tools students can apply independently.
What sets me apart is my real-world experience as a professional artist and creative director, allowing me to teach both artistic fundamentals and how creativity functions beyond the classroom. My lessons are ideal for beginners, art students, emerging artists, and creatives of all ages seeking mentorship, portfolio guidance, or a deeper connection to their practice.

Details
My standard rate reflects personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s goals and level. Lessons include guided exercises, feedback, and a customized approach to help you develop both technical skills and creative confidence.
Online sessions are offered at a lower rate, while in-person lessons include additional time and preparation for travel. Materials are typically not included, but I’m happy to recommend specific tools and supplies based on your practice and goals.
I begin with a short evaluation session to understand your level and create a structured plan for your progress. Ongoing lessons are designed to build consistency and long-term development, so I do work with a minimum session commitment to ensure meaningful results.
