About Shannon
"Music exists as a living language that requires more than just reading notation. I often find that students arrive with rigid hands and tense shoulders. My training at the Manhattan School of Music informs how I correct these physical habits immediately.
13 years of instruction have taught me that nervous beginners require a different path than grade-exam candidates. I rely on scales, arpeggios, and precise pedaling technique to build a technical foundation. Developing sight transposition and memorization techniques ensures that you understand the mechanics of every piece. My process balances ear training with rigorous music theory."

"Performances on stage require technical mastery and mental clarity. You deserve a clear map that guides you from your first session to the final note of a concerto.
My methodology integrates sight playing and hand position adjustments to ensure fluid movement across the keys. 9.0 is the standard I maintain for all classical repertoire interpretation.
During our 9 sessions, we will focus on specific nuances of sound production. Beginners learn to decode the staff while advanced players refine their expressive range.
