About Avik
Hi! I’m Avik, a Year 11 student at Melbourne High School with a strong interest in English, writing, debating and public speaking. I teach English to students in Years 3–10, helping them build confidence in grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, essay writing and text responses.
My lessons are structured, supportive and adapted to each student’s level. I focus on explaining concepts clearly, breaking difficult tasks into manageable steps, and giving students plenty of guided practice rather than simply giving them answers.
Having worked through the demands of high-level English at Melbourne High School myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain ideas in a way that is straightforward and easy to follow. Whether a student needs help catching up, improving their writing, preparing for an assessment, or simply becoming more confident with English, I aim to make each lesson practical and productive.

I teach primary and lower secondary English (Years 3–9) using structured, easy-to-follow techniques that simplify essay writing, text response, and vocabulary building.
Each standard lesson runs for 60 minutes, combining explicit teaching with guided practice. Having navigated high-level English requirements at Melbourne High School, I cater specifically to younger students looking to lift their grades, master grammar, write standout essays, or excel in public speaking and debating.
Whether you would like NAPLAN Preparation, Early VCE English Foundations, or any other english assistance, I am able to adapt to your needs, just let me know before the lesson, and I'll do so :)
