About Mehnaz
My name is Mehnaz, and I hold a Master of Architecture degree from Australia. As an experienced architect and proficient Revit & Archicad user, I have successfully guided numerous students and peers in mastering Revit Architecture/Archicad.
My teaching approach emphasizes hands-on learning, with a strong focus on building foundational knowledge. I ensure that each student thoroughly understands key concepts before progressing. Over the course of my 20-hour comprehensive training, you will develop expertise in designing and drafting with Revit, completing the full curriculum.
Our sessions are highly interactive, based around a sample project where you will learn and apply new commands in each class. You will also be assigned homework and tasks to reinforce your learning, with solutions provided for any difficulties encountered in the following session. I encourage questions throughout, as my aim is to foster an engaging and enjoyable learning environment.
Leveraging my architectural expertise, I provide practical insights into using Revit/Archicad effectively in real-world situations. My ultimate goal is for students to not only master the software but also genuinely enjoy working with it.

Hi Learners,
I am Mehnaz, an Architect with years of experience working with Revit & Archicad both. I have had the privilege of training both peers and students in Revit Architecture/Archicad in collaboration with Autodesk. I truly enjoy sharing my expertise and helping others excel in this field.
Throughout my career, students have appreciated my teaching style. In just 19-20 hours of training, you will cover the complete syllabus, equipping you with the skills to confidently design and draft in Revit.
Our sessions will focus on a thoughtfully chosen project, making the training both relevant and engaging. Each class will introduce and practice a new command related to the project. Please feel free to ask questions at any time.

Overview of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and ArchiCAD’s role in the AEC industry.
Understanding ArchiCAD’s project structure and parametric modeling.
Accessing the free educational version at myarchicad.graphisoft.com.
Project Setup and Interface: Starting a new project using templates (e.g., Default Template or customized office templates).
Navigating the ArchiCAD interface: Menu Bar, Standard Toolbar, Tab Bar, Toolbox, Navigator Palette, and Quick Options Bar. Customizing the Work Environment (toolbars, menus, and shortcuts). Setting up project preferences (units, scale, and reference levels).
2. Principal Tools
Units, Keyboard Shortcuts, and Project Organization:
Configuring project units (metric/imperial) and precision settings.
Learning essential keyboard shortcuts for navigation and modeling (e.g., panning, zooming, and tool activation).
Setting up Levels (Stories) and Grids for project alignment and reference.
Favorites and Element Settings: Creating and using Favorites to store predefined element settings for efficiency. Understanding element parameters via the Info Box and Settings Dialog.
3. Drawing Tools
Basic Elements:
Walls: Creating and modifying walls (straight, curved, composite, and profile-based).
Doors and Windows: Placing and customizing library parts (e.g., standard and parametric doors/windows).
Components: Adding furniture, fixtures, and other objects from the ArchiCAD Library or custom objects.
Floors and Slabs: Creating slabs for floors and customizing slab edges and materials.
Roofs and Openings: Using the Roof Tool for single-plane and multi-plane roofs.
Creating openings (e.g., skylights, wall openings) using the Opening Tool.
Curtain Walls: Designing curtain wall systems with customizable frames, panels, and accessories.
Model Text and Labels: Adding 3D text and labels to the model for annotations and identification.
4. Construction Tools
Structural Elements:
Columns: Placing structural and architectural columns with customizable profiles.
Beams: Creating beam systems for structural frameworks.
Slabs: Modeling structural slabs for floors and foundations.
Foundations: Using the Wall or Slab Tool to create foundation elements.
Staircases and Railings: Designing stairs with the Stair Tool (customizable treads, risers, and structures). Adding railings and customizing their design using the Railing Tool.
5. Conceptual Design Environment
Morph Tool for Conceptual Modeling: Creating free-form 3D shapes using the Morph Tool for conceptual designs.
Converting Morphs to standard elements (e.g., walls, slabs).
Massing with Mesh Tool: Modeling site terrain and conceptual masses using the Mesh Tool.
