About Nihar

My name is Nihar and I'm a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A-level (A*A*A*A*). I also received offers from UCL, Bristol and Swansea universities.

As a former state school student, I understand that sometimes students may not always get the help they need due to time/staff constraints within schools, and so I have a good knowledge of which areas in subjects students tend to struggle with.
Additionally, I know firsthand that not all schools are able to support students to the same extent for interviews, and I hope that I can help students aim high to achieve their full potential at these universities by helping prepare them for interviews.

About the lesson

For students thinking of applying to medical school, I can help with:
- personal statement feedback
- interview preparation for panel/Oxbridge style medical interviews

While applying to medical school, I received offers from Cambridge and UCL medical schools, and hence am most comfortable giving advice for panel/Oxbridge-style interviews. However, I can also offer interview advice and preparation for regular interviews if required.

Lessons will typically be 45mins to an hour long, and will largely cover how interviews are run, what kinds of questions are asked and how one might go about answering them in an interview. This will be done using mock interview questions, and the format can be fairly flexible in terms of guiding the student through questions or holding mock interviews and giving feedback.

I am also able to review personal statements, and can go over them during a lesson to highlight suggestsed improvements or changes.
