About Rob

I'm a fifth-year medical student at the University of Cambridge, currently in my first year of Clinical Studies after graduating in 2024 with a BA in my intercalation of Physiology, Development, and Neuroscience and a 1st-class dissertation on Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease. With 350+ hours of experience specifically helping students with medical admissions and knowledge building, I have a deep understanding of the process and what it takes to succeed. No two students are the same: I adapt my approach to fit strengths and target areas of improvement, as well as tailoring to students' preferred lesson format.

The range of universities I applied to means that I completed both the UCAT and BMAT, and had interviews in both the MMI and traditional panel formats, all of which I am keen to tutor for. I can share insider tips and strategies of what top medical schools are looking for and how to present your best self, striking a balance between guidance and allowing students to explore ideas on their own. Whether help is needed with exam preparation, interview practice, personal statements, or navigating the application process, I can provide the support and guidance you need to excel, such as with mock interview sessions. Generally, the sciences and maths interest me most: my personal academic strengths include psychology and cognitive neuroscience, which I have completed research in (such as investigating neuronal prediction error in sensory processing). I understand the importance of balance and alongside work, I enjoy running, art, and gym, which I can do flexibly around lessons.

About the lesson

I offer relaxed yet productive lessons for medicine entrance and interviews exams (such as UCAT). These can be of any length that works, but typically, would last around an hour. I have 150+ hours of experience teaching these topics, receiving good feedback and success stories, and have learned how to strike a balance between making lessons enjoyable and effective.
