About Deborah
I’m a Physician Associate student and keyboardist with a passion for helping students understand biology and develop musically. I enjoy making complex topics simple and supporting students to grow in confidence. My teaching style is patient, practical and goal based, and I focus on helping students achieve academic learning objectives and stepwise techniques on the keyboard. Outside of teaching, I am an avid chorister at church and cellist, sharing some of my music online, alongside completing my degree, which shapes my practical and engaging approach.

Teaching Techniques:
My teaching is personalised to each student, focusing on building strong foundations, confidence, and practical application. I use clear explanations, visual aids, and step-by-step guidance, with regular practice and feedback. In biology, I emphasise deep understanding alongside exam technique; in keyboard, I focus on learning through songs, chords, and developing musical expression - especially in the worship context .
Lessons length: 40 minutes (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings)
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc in Medical Physiology and Therapeutics
- A Level Biology (Grade B)
Strong academic background in human biology and physiology
- 12 years of experience as a church keyboardist, with practical performance experience
Aimed at: Year 10, Year 11 (GCSE) and Year 12 (A Level OCR) students
Keyboard: Beginner to intermediate (aspirational) keyboardists - especially those interested in worship or contemporary styles
