About Rahul
I’m currently an M1 at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and scored a 519 on the MCAT. I graduated with honors from Stony Brook University with a degree in Physics and a minor in Chemistry. I also have prior standardized-test tutoring experience with Huntington Learning Center, where I worked with students preparing for the SAT and ACT.
Having gone through the MCAT and medical school admissions process myself, I understand how overwhelming the amount of material can initially feel. My goal is to provide clear, patient instruction while helping students figure out which concepts they truly understand and which areas need more attention. I especially enjoy taking complicated science topics and reducing them to the underlying ideas that make the details easier to remember.

My goal is to make difficult MCAT science concepts feel intuitive rather than overwhelming. I focus on identifying exactly where a student’s understanding breaks down, then rebuilding the concept in a simpler way and connecting it to related material.
A typical lesson might involve reviewing a difficult topic, working through representative questions together, and identifying patterns in the mistakes being made. I also like to discuss study strategy when helpful, what is worth memorizing, what should be understood conceptually, and how to review efficiently.
I’m especially comfortable with physics, chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. My lessons are best suited for students who want stronger science foundations, clearer explanations of difficult topics, or help organizing their MCAT content review.
