About Talkha

I am a qualified Maths teacher and current Maths Subject Lead at a SEND school, with a strong track record of supporting students who find maths challenging or have had negative experiences with the subject in the past. I specialise in working with KS3 and GCSE (Foundation) students, particularly those with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. My approach is calm, patient and highly structured, helping students to feel safe, supported and confident in their learning. As a Subject Lead, I am responsible for curriculum planning, assessment and intervention strategies, ensuring that lessons are accessible and matched to individual ability levels. This experience allows me to quickly identify gaps in understanding and tailor lessons to help students make clear, measurable progress. I am professional, reliable and fully committed to helping each student succeed. I place a strong emphasis on building confidence, improving exam technique and developing a positive mindset towards maths. Lessons are available online or in Coventry, and I work closely with parents and students to set realistic goals and track progress over time.

I am a Maths Subject Lead at a SEND school, with extensive experience teaching KS3 and GCSE (Foundation) Maths to students with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. My lessons are structured, calm and personalised. I break topics down into small, manageable steps and use clear explanations, visual models and real-life examples to help students build understanding and confidence. I regularly check for understanding and adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs and pace. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted if shorter sessions are more suitable. Lessons usually include: A quick recap of prior learning Clear teaching of one key concept Guided practice with support Independent questions to build confidence Exam-style questions where appropriate I focus strongly on exam preparation, confidence-building and closing gaps in understanding, particularly for students who struggle in mainstream settings or lack confidence in maths. I am a qualified teacher and experienced tutor, currently leading maths within a SEND academy. My lessons are suitable for KS3 and GCSE students, particularly those working at Foundation level or requiring a more supportive, patient approach. Lessons are available online or in Coventry, depending on preference.
