About Amelie
After completing GCSE and A-Level Psychology, I found that my teachers overcomplicated the subject, and when trying to do my own revision, I often found the textbooks monotonous and difficult to condense into the essential material. With my more simplistic approach to the subject, I hope to show that Psychology can be a really engaging and interesting subject to study, especially once you don’t feel overwhelmed.

About me:
I am currently a masters student at University College London studying Clinical Mental Health Sciences after completing my undergraduate in Psychology at the University of Bristol, and attaining an A* at A-Level.
My experience:
I have been tutoring for 8 years, the last few focused exclusively on Psychology whilst I studied the subject at university.
How I teach my lessons:
After establishing problem areas, we start with a condensed overview to ensure understanding before delving into more detailed theories and evaluation of topics. Psychology is very content-heavy, and it is important to have a good understanding of a topic before any memorisation of terms or evaluation begins. I will always leave my students with a detailed set of concise notes, and past paper mark schemes, so they have all the materials to go over our lesson afterwards, and then revise at a later date.
Typical length of a session:
I recommend an hour long session; however, my hours can be flexible to accommodate a student’s individual requirements.
Who are my lessons suitable for?
Both GCSE and A-Level Psychology students for all exam boards.
How are the lessons completed?
The sessions will be conducted online, via zoom, or a video calling platform that is most suitable.
