About Robin
I am a Master's Degree graduate from California State University, Long Beach. For my Master's Degree, I completed a comprehensive exam in the specialized study of Critical Theory. I was also certified as a Technical Writer during my program, with a specialization in editing. While I was completing my Master's I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Comparative Literature Department, in which I assisted students with lecture material and essay writing.

My teaching style is to speak freely with students about how they interpret literature and what subjects they might feel enthused to pontificate on in a paper. After learning what the student observes or theorizes about in the text, I ask further questions on what larger themes they can see in the text. In this way, I give the student the freedom to be creative with their writing, while aiding them in understanding how their interpretations could be contextual to what the author intended. Furthermore, I teach students how to construct a basic essay outline where they can apply their creative ideas to then seek out research to support their thesis.
