About Vimal
National Chess Player & Mechanical Professional dedicated to mentoring young minds.
I am a National-level chess player with years of competitive experience, currently working as a professional in the Mechanical engineering field. Throughout my journey, I have realized that chess is more than just a game—it is a powerful tool for developing the "Deep Thinking" skills required to solve complex problems in the real world.
Why I Teach:
As someone from a technical background, I understand the importance of logic, pattern recognition, and strategic planning. I started this coaching initiative because I want to help school students (up to 8th grade) build these exact skills. My goal is to use chess to sharpen their brains, helping them become more focused and disciplined in their academics and future careers.
My Background:
Competitive Excellence: Having played at the National level, I understand the pressure and the psychology of the game. I know what it takes to move from a beginner who "just plays" to a player who "thinks."
Professional Discipline: My career in the mechanical field has taught me the value of structure and precision. I bring this same professional approach to my coaching—every lesson is planned, and every student's progress is tracked.
Mentorship: I enjoy working with children and believe in a patient, "first-principles" approach to teaching. I don’t just give answers; I ask the right questions to help students discover the best moves themselves.
I am a resident of Rohtak and am passionate about growing the chess culture here. Whether we meet face-to-face or online, my commitment is to provide a high-quality, professional learning experience for your child.

In my classes, I don't just teach children how to move pieces; I teach them how to think several steps ahead. As a National-level chess player and a working professional in the Mechanical field, I have seen firsthand how the logic of the chessboard translates into academic and professional success.
What your child will learn:
My "Beginner to Average" program is designed for school students (Classes 1-8) to build a rock-solid foundation. We focus on:
The 3 Golden Rules: Mastering the opening to gain an immediate advantage.
Tactical Vision: Learning to spot "traps" like Forks, Pins, and Skewers.
Deep Thinking: Training the brain to calculate and predict the opponent's moves—a skill that directly helps in Math and Science.
Discipline & Focus: Using chess as a tool to improve concentration and patience in everyday life.
Flexible Learning Options:
Face-to-Face Sessions: I offer in-person coaching for students in Rohtak. I believe physical board play is the best way for young students to develop "board vision" and focus without screen distractions.
Online Sessions: For those who prefer the convenience of home, I provide interactive online classes that are just as engaging.
My Teaching Style:
Logical & Structured: Being from a mechanical background, I break down complex chess strategies into simple, "engineered" steps that are easy for kids to grasp.
Patient & Encouraging: I focus on building a student’s confidence so they aren't afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
Professional Standards: As a working professional, I bring punctuality, structured lesson plans, and regular progress updates for parents.
Goal: To take a student from a complete beginner to a confident, average-level player with a disciplined and strategic mind.
