About Vernesa
I was born in Montenegro, in the heart of the former Yugoslavia, and spent my early life immersed in the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of the region. I lived and worked there until my mid-30s, gaining firsthand experience with the languages, traditions, and communities of the Balkans. After moving to Canada, I dedicated myself fully to language education and professional interpretation. Over the past 35+ years, I’ve built a career as a trusted educator, interpreter, and cultural specialist. My experience spans classrooms, legal settings, immigration services, international institutions, and diplomatic environments. I am skilled at quickly identifying a learner’s strengths and weaknesses, and I tailor lessons to help students progress efficiently—whether they are complete beginners or advanced speakers seeking refinement. My goal is to make every student feel supported, confident, and empowered in their language journey.
