Bishop’s Stortford High School since 1st October 2025. During her time with us, she has distinguished herself as a highly
professional, capable and conscientious member of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
Eléonore has supported both staff and pupils across the full secondary age range, from Year 7 to Year 13. In particular,
her contribution to the Sixth Form has been substantial. She has developed a comprehensive and thoughtfully designed
body of resources to complement the A Level curriculum, with a clear emphasis on French society, culture and the
development of sophisticated speaking skills. These materials have been integral to our delivery of the course. Her
teaching is consistently of an excellent standard: well-structured, purposeful and intellectually rigorous. She employs
skilful and probing questioning to extend students’ thinking and adapts her sessions with precision to meet individual
needs. The independent work she sets is appropriately challenging and contributes meaningfully to students’ academic
progress.
In addition to her work within the Modern Foreign Languages department, Eléonore plans and delivers intervention
sessions for students with English as an Additional Language as part of the school’s central support programme. Her
planning is meticulous and analytically informed, demonstrating a clear understanding of language acquisition and
student development. The impact of these sessions has been demonstrably positive, both in terms of students’
confidence and their attainment across the curriculum.
Throughout her appointment, Eléonore has conducted herself with exemplary professionalism. She is diligent, reliable
and intellectually engaged. She has also accompanied several school visits, where she has exercised sound judgement,
initiative and a genuine commitment to students’ welfare and educational experience.
