About Talia
My teaching approach brings French to life through cinema, media, and cultural exploration. I use French films, clips, music, and news to create immersive lessons that connect language learning to real-life situations. Watching and discussing these materials helps students understand vocabulary, expressions, and pronunciation naturally.
We read aloud scripts, articles, and dialogues to improve fluency and confidence. Grammar and sentence structure are applied directly in conversation and writing, so learning feels practical and meaningful. I guide students to analyze scenes, discuss themes, and explore cultural context, making lessons engaging and dynamic.

I’m a French tutor with over 9 years of experience and a PhD in Quebecois Literature and Culture. I specialize in teaching children aged 8 to 14 through dramatic play, improvisation, and script reading all in French. My goal is to make language learning playful, memorable, and full of joy.
In my lessons, students step into characters, explore stories, and act out scenes while naturally learning vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple grammar. I focus on foundational language skills in ways that feel fun and engaging. Whether we’re performing a café scene or a fairy tale, every activity encourages imagination and creativity.
I also emphasize character development, helping students gain confidence, empathy, and self-expression. Dramatic play allows shy learners to find their voice and practice speaking with ease. I guide them through dialogue, movement, and expressive reading to make French learning lively.
By combining performance with structured learning, children retain language skills more effectively. My sessions nurture both their French abilities and their confidence as young actors.
