About Maris
Bonjour! I’m a French tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and a Graduate Diploma in French Language Teaching. I have a deep love for the French language and an even deeper passion for helping others speak it with confidence and authenticity. One of my specialties is pronunciation coaching, where I bring together music, rhythm, and phonetics. I believe that the sound and flow of French are just as important as grammar and vocabulary. That’s why I use French songs, tongue twisters, and poetry in my lessons. These tools help students improve their accent, intonation, and natural speech rhythm in a fun and memorable way. I’ve had the pleasure of working with actors, voice artists, and singers who want to refine their spoken French for performance or professional work. My approach combines clear technique with creative expression, tailored to each student's voice and goals. For school support, I help with grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading, and speaking tasks linked to the curriculum. I also focus on improving memory and understanding through easy-to-remember patterns, visuals, and word associations. I guide students through exam preparation with practice papers, test-taking strategies, and tips for managing time and stress.
I work especially well with learners who want to connect with their cultural roots or prepare for travel. I help them build confidence in speaking and understanding everyday French. Through role-plays, real-life dialogues, and practical exercises, students learn to communicate naturally and effectively.
