About Brittany
Across twenty years of teaching I have trained 1040 students, many preparing seriously for demanding examinations, professional certification, or the most competitive academic placements available anywhere. My own fluency was built through rigorous, systematic study, and I firmly believe measurable discipline, not vague comfort, is what separates true fluency from casual familiarity. My French teaching is built entirely on precision and measurable benchmarks, since vague encouragement without hard data produces students who feel confident but perform inconsistently under real evaluation. Every lesson opens with structured diagnostic testing, tracking grammar accuracy, vocabulary range, and fluency against explicit standards logged carefully in a long term spreadsheet for each student individually. I correct immediately and without softening the message when a structure is wrong, since delayed correction lets flawed habits become permanent limitations difficult to undo later in a student's learning. Vocabulary is assigned strategically to target a student's weakest measurable area, never simply chosen for enjoyment or convenience alone. Mock oral and written assessments under strict conditions occur frequently, since comfortable practice rarely predicts confident results under genuine formal pressure faced later.
