About Lumi
I have 7 years of experience teaching chess to students from school to college. My passion for education drives me to help every student improve their skills and enjoy the game. I believe chess teaches important life skills like patience, strategy, and critical thinking. Over the years, I have guided many students to win local and school-level chess competitions. Watching my students grow in confidence and ability is the biggest reward for me. I focus on creating a fun and supportive learning environment where every student feels motivated. My goal is not only to teach chess but to inspire a love for learning and help students develop skills they can use in life. I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

My teaching method focuses on three key values: Accountability, Creativity, and Communication. I believe students learn best when they take responsibility for their progress. I encourage every student to set goals and track their improvement, helping them stay motivated and accountable.
Creativity is essential in chess, so I teach students to think outside the box. I use puzzles, real-game examples, and creative exercises to develop their strategic and tactical skills. This helps students become confident and flexible thinkers.
Communication is also important. I make sure to explain ideas clearly and listen to students’ questions and thoughts. I create an open, friendly space where students feel comfortable to share and learn.
Besides chess, I can help with related subjects like logic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to strengthen overall game understanding.
