Marc is an excellent tutor. I did his 2 day beginners oil painting course. The course was an excellent mix of theory and practice. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, really good at explaining the subject and patient! After the course, I was able to apply what he taught me to other mediums. I had no formal art training before the course and now I'm selling art and getting commissions.

I have attended Marc Turner’s beginner’s course in oil painting and found it very helpful as he taught from very foundation to a successful amateur painter. He is patient and kind, he has an easy teaching manner, going from basic to advanced and is very easy to understand. He is never judgmental. He has lots of patience. His knowledge is immense,and I have even been allowed to pick his brain when not on a course!
You can ask anything and he will find out even if it's the rare occasion that he doesn't know the answer.

The fact that he actually makes his own oil pains is fascinating in itself, but when he starts explaining all the intricacies, you just get lost in that magical world and want to know more and more. If anyone wants to learn to paint in oils or learn about the old masters, Marc is definitely your teacher!
