About Evelyn
I’m a Malaysian Chinese currently studying in the UK. Chinese is my mother tongue, and English is my second language, so I’m comfortable speaking and communicating in both languages. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing my language and culture with others. I’m a friendly, patient and easy-going person, and I believe learning a language should be enjoyable and comfortable. I’d love to help you learn Chinese, whether you’re starting from scratch or simply looking to become more confident in everyday conversations!

My lessons focus on helping you actually use Chinese in real-life situations, rather than simply memorising vocabulary. Depending on your level and goals, you can improve your Mandarin pronunciation and tones, build useful everyday vocabulary, practise natural conversations, and learn how to form sentences correctly.
For beginners, I can help you start from the basics, including Pinyin, pronunciation and simple Chinese characters.
For more advanced learners, we can focus on speaking more naturally, expanding vocabulary and improving confidence in conversation. Each 45 minutes lesson is tailored to your level and interests, with plenty of opportunities to practise speaking.
