About Ryan

Hi, I’m Ryan! I’m an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, a Hong Kong Certified Public Accountant since 2015, and a Professional Accounting graduate of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I have over 15 years of teaching experience, but what keeps me passionate about teaching is that moment when a student says, “Oh, now I get it!”

I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and discovering that accounting can make sense—and even be enjoyable. Whether you’re finding your studies challenging or taking your first steps in the subject, I bring patience, enthusiasm and a sense of humour to our lessons.

About the lesson

Accounting makes much more sense when you understand the story behind the numbers! My online lessons build understanding from the ground up, using everyday examples, clear explanations and step-by-step practice. We’ll explore the “why” behind each concept, work through questions together, and help you develop the confidence to tackle problems independently.

Lessons are friendly and interactive, with plenty of room for questions and a few laughs along the way. I tailor the pace and content to your goals, whether you’re studying GCSE or A-Level accounting, tackling a university module, starting as an adult learner, or preparing for ACA exams.

I’m an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and Hong Kong CPA with over 15 years of teaching experience. I teach in English, Chinese and Cantonese. Book a first lesson so we can discuss your goals, work through something you find tricky and make a plan that suits you.
