"Spending 13 years in this industry has shown me that the simplest lines often carry the most weight. I will admit that I still find the blank page intimidating even after all this time.
My BM from Berklee College of Music gave me the vocabulary to break down why certain chord progressions or rhyme schemes resonate with an audience. Having taught 262 students has shifted my perspective on how people learn to express their own unique voices.
I focus on helping you understand genre conventions in pop, country, folk, and R&B so you can write with intention. We look at imagery and detail in lyrics to ensure your stories land exactly where you want them to.
Co-writing and collaboration are central to how I help you expand your toolkit. I aim to keep my feedback honest and direct so you always know where your work stands. My approach is to build your confidence through consistent practice and clear communication."

"Seeing a song transform from a messy draft into something you are proud to share makes this work incredibly rewarding. Music is storytelling. I guide students, career switchers, and working musicians through the process of writing to a brief and refining their technical grasp of song structure. Using my background from Berklee, I help you organize your ideas into cohesive pieces that stand on their own.
We spend our time together examining how your lyrics and music interact to create a specific emotional impact. You get feedback on your own tracks every week to ensure you remain on track with your goals.
We break down the essentials of rhythm, meter, and harmonic movement to keep your writing sharp. You will leave our time together with a clearer sense of how to structure your next project. It is simply about getting the songs out of your head and into the world."
