• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  Since childhood I’ve been in the pesantren environment, so my interest in Qur’an and Islamic studies grew naturally. Private tutoring started when friends and younger students asked me to teach them. From there, I realized I enjoy guiding people one-on-one.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach Qur’an recitation (Tahsin & Tajwid), Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, and basic Islamic knowledge. I enjoy discussing anything that helps students understand Islam in a simple and practical way.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Yes, several of my teachers in Mranggen, Tangerang Selatan, and Cairo. Their patience and sincerity shaped how I teach today.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  Patience, clarity, consistency, and the ability to adjust to each student’s level. In Islamic studies, sincerity (amanah) is also very important.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I once taught a student who struggled with basic pronunciation for months. One day he finally read fluently, and the happiness on his face reminded me why teaching is meaningful.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  Students’ backgrounds are very different, so I always need to adjust my teaching style. Keeping students consistent with their Qur’an practice is also a challenge.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  Yes, teaching itself. I enjoy helping students feel more confident with the Qur’an and making Islamic knowledge feel relevant to their daily life.

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

  My background at Al-Azhar University, my experience teaching many students, and my patient, personalized approach. I aim to teach with sincerity and make learning comfortable for everyone.
