About Nada
I'm a friendly, kind and knowledgeable tutor with plenty of exam experience, so I fully understand the challenges, but also the solutions, to almost every problem when it comes to assessments. As an individual who has achieved in the top 10% of my year group during GCSEs and throughout sixth form, I have the insight and tips that will help you succeed in your exams, and I'm keen to support you through your journey!
Outside of helping my peers and tutoring younger students, I love poetry and creative writing. Some of my poems have been published, and I love sharing my passion for both teaching and writing with other peers to inspire them. I'm also very interested in medicine, having presidented my own medical society, and am soon to start a degree in Medicine! From conducting laboratory research to presenting medical initiatives at a university, I think my experiences have developed skills like communication, empathy and patience, which are all transferable to tutoring.

I have a methodical and structured teaching strategy which I’ve used successfully in my own learning over the years. By breaking learning down into 3 key elements, we can work together to track progress, find gaps in knowledge and tailor sessions further to suit each pupil’s learning style.
Content – here, we’ll work together to learn and understand the theory and skills needed to be successful. This could be teaching concepts from scratch or approaching previously taught content in a different way. I find that using visual resources, analogies and ‘you-teach, I-teach’ methods to be the most effective. During this stage, integrating visual, auditory and tactile memory is key. Hence, students will get involved in verbal explanations, written tasks and visual graphics to strengthen memory and deepen understanding.
Context – once we’ve learnt the theory, this stage will now focus on applying the theory to the test. This involves attempting past papers with full walkthroughs, analysing mark schemes and finding trends in common types of questions being asked during assessments. We’ll work together to solve these problems, with a student-led approach to build confidence and independence.
Critique – this stage shifts from practice to reflection; after learning the theory and applying this to questions, we’ll evaluate what our strengths and weaknesses are. I’ll use a detailed spreadsheet to analyse which types of questions the student is getting incorrect, trace back to the theory elements which these relate to, and find a way to reteach these areas to strengthen recall and understanding.
