About Sarah

I have hands-on experience supporting middle school students, including those with special needs, in both academic and life-skill development. I’ve worked directly with students on reading, writing, communication, and building independence in structured, one-on-one settings.

I use a consistent, step-by-step teaching approach that helps students feel comfortable, stay engaged, and make steady progress. My sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and adapted to each student’s learning style.

For swim instruction, I focus on water safety first, followed by gradual skill-building in a calm, supportive environment. I prioritize patience, clear instruction, and helping students build confidence at their own pace.

I maintain a professional, reliable schedule and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress, goals, and next steps.

My focus is not just short-term improvement, but helping students develop skills they can use independently over time.

About the lesson

I specialize in working with middle school students and individuals with special needs, including autism. I understand that progress looks different for every student, and I adapt my teaching to meet them where they are. My focus goes beyond academics—I help students develop confidence, routine, and life skills that carry over into everyday situations.
