About Aryia

Hey! I'm Aryia. After achieving a H2 in English, I initially pursued Biomedical Electronics, but I am now studying English + History at third level. I have a passion for the subject in every aspect and would love to help others engage in it too

About the lesson

MY TEACHING APPROACH

As someone who has navigated the Leaving Cert successfully, I understand that English can feel overwhelming. Many students get lost in the complexity of poetry analysis, struggle with comparative studies, or freeze when facing unseen texts. That's why I've developed a clear, student-centred approach to teaching.

How My Lessons Work:

• Interactive Discussion-Based Learning
Rather than lecturing, I create an environment where your voice matters. We explore texts through open discussions, helping you develop your own unique interpretations while ensuring they align with marking schemes.

• Breaking Down Complexity
I simplify challenging concepts into manageable pieces. Whether it's poetry, or composition, we tackle each element step-by-step, building your confidence along the way.

• Personalized Learning Path
Every student thinks differently. I adapt my teaching style to match your learning preferences, focusing on areas where you need the most support.

What Makes My Lessons Different:

✓ Focus on developing your unique writing voice
✓ Sample answers and marking scheme insights
✓ Regular feedback and progress tracking
✓ Exam-focused strategy sessions

Structure of Sessions:

15 minutes: Review and question time
30 minutes: Core content and discussion
15 minutes: Practice and application

I believe in making English accessible and enjoyable, not just another subject to memorize. My recent experience with the Leaving Cert means I understand exactly what current examiners are looking for and can help you present your ideas in a way that maximizes your points.

Remember: English isn't about finding the 'right' answer - it's about learning to express your thoughts clearly and confidently. Let's work together to unlock your potential!
