About Camillia
Hi! I'm Camillia and I'm a recent Psychology graduate who now works as an assistant psychologist. I first started tutoring students when I was in sixth form, because I felt that helping other students not only consolidated my own learning, but I enjoyed it! My approach is one that focuses on creating a positive learning environment (I dont wan't you to be bored in tutoring sessions!) and working on what is absolutely necessary to allow for top marks in exams. All the methods we will practice in our sessions are the same ones I used in my studies, all the way up to graduate level. I hope we can work together to achieve this.

Each student learns differently, thus we will use techniques that best fit you. For example, visual learners may benefit best from creating visual aids, such as creating mind maps. I believe that each student should think critically of their own work, so we will often have time to answer practice questions/papers before critically analysing answers to identify strong points and areas to be improved. Examples of what will be done in sessions include consolidating content (especially for trickier topics such as research methods), essay-planning, creating and referring to visual aids, strengthening evaluative thinking skills.
Having used these techniques myself in my studies, and using the resources I still have from this time, we will work to create the ability to answer any exam question with ease.
Catering towards GCSE and A-Level students, lessons are typically 60-minute sessions.
