About Zilard

I’m a London-based fashion designer and a graduate of UAL (London College of Fashion), with professional experience in womenswear design, digital fashion using CLO3D.

Over the years, I’ve worked with internationally recognised brands such as Viktor & Rolf, Diesel, and Jil Sander, as well as creative studios including Szabo Sihag, Fashionizer, and MMCD Studio.

I see fashion design as a form of storytelling — where creativity meets technical precision. Teaching allows me to pass on the industry knowledge, workflows, and techniques I’ve developed, from early concept development through to digital garment creation and presentation.

I aim to help students gain confidence in their ideas, refine their personal design language, and communicate their work clearly and professionally. I create a supportive, focused, and inspiring learning environment where you can experiment, grow creatively, and develop the skills needed to move forward as a designer.

About the lesson

Who my lessons are for:

- Fashion students developing collections or portfolios for their studies
- Beginners interested in learning fashion design from scratch
- Designers transitioning into digital fashion (CLO3D)
- Applicants preparing for fashion school interviews or portfolio submissions

My lessons are personalised and project-based. You’ll receive detailed feedback, visual guidance, and optional homework to strengthen your design development process and creative thinking.

Sample course structure (Beginners)

1. Inspiration & Concept Learn how to research creatively, find inspiration, and build a strong mood board that defines your design direction.

2. Visual Research & Concept Development Translate ideas into a clear visual language through silhouettes, textures, references, and themes that reflect your identity as a designer.

3. Fashion Sketching & Design Development: Develop fashion sketches and explore proportions, shapes, and styling to create original and well-balanced designs.

4. Colour, Fabric & Texture Understand colour theory, fabric selection, and how materials support your concept and target audience.

5. From 2D to 3D (Digital Focus) Learn the basics of garment structure and bring your ideas to life using CLO3D, flat drawings, or technical sketches.

6. Final Presentation & Portfolio: Refine your designs into a cohesive mini-collection and prepare professional boards or portfolio pages for presentation.
