About Lily

Hi! I’m Lily, a musician from the UK. I moved to Chicago in 2022 for an MFA program in Film Scoring, graduating last year. In addition to music production, I teach songwriting, guitar and piano classes; also working as an audio engineer and front of house staff at a music venue. I love to create music as both a solo artist and collaborator.

Learning how to use production software has been absolutely essential to my growth as a musician, fueling my creative drive by providing me with the tools to write, record, produce and mix independently. I love to experiment, forever discovering new ways to express my ideas as a producer - there are no limits to what you can do with a DAW!

About the lesson

I offer one-to-one music production lessons for all ages, for anyone interested in learning how to bring their creative ideas to life :) I believe in a highly personalized teaching approach, shaping lessons around your needs, interests, strengths and weaknesses so that your musical identity can flourish.

In our first meeting we'll get to know each other, discussing your creative goals so we can move forward in a way that feels most beneficial to you. Whatever your skill-level, my classes are a safe space for expressing ideas, asking questions, making mistakes (which are always learning opportunities) and being yourself!

Lessons will be interactive as we work together to ensure you leave with enhanced music production abilities every week. It doesn't take long to learn the basics and you'll be amazed at how quickly you progress! After which, we'll hone your skills to realize the full creative potential of your DAW so it can become second nature.

Logic Pro X is my main area of expertise (only compatible with Apple), but please let me know if there’s a different DAW you are interested in learning as we might be able to make it work. In 2025, having the skills to produce your own music has never been more powerful - it’s never too early or too late to learn, and I promise you won’t regret it!
