About Brittney
Writing is my jam! As a seasoned writer, I’ve had my own column in a county newspaper and written many lead stories. I’ve done technical writing for a software company and written freelance for a city magazine. A published poet and short story writer, I’ve taught writing at a high school for gifted students. I earned my bachelor’s in Literature and completed part of my master's before starting my family. My homeschooled children, all of whom I taught to read, scored 28 to 32 on their ACTs. No matter what my student’s age or reading/writing goals, I can help!

My lessons are fully customized. The needs of my students are varied, from thesis and paper writing to proofreading, learning to read to ACT prep. I will meet with them and tailor a plan to their specific needs. My hours are flexible, and I can meet over Zoom. What sets me apart is that I homeschooled my children K - 12.
