About Sanika
Hi! I'm Sanika.
I have a background in Applied Psychology (First Class with Distinction), an English Literature minor, and am currently pursuing a PGDM. My interests lie at the intersection of psychology, literature, behavior, communication, personal growth, and understanding what makes people think and act the way they do.
Why I Teach
I've always believed that learning should be more than memorizing information for an exam. The most rewarding part of teaching for me is helping someone move from confusion to understanding, and from understanding to genuine curiosity.
Whether it's Psychology, Literature, or Personal Development, I aim to help learners engage with ideas in ways that feel meaningful, practical, and memorable.
I particularly enjoy helping learners discover how these subjects connect to real life. Psychology is all around us. In our habits, relationships, decisions, and everyday experiences. Literature, too, is much more than analyzing texts; it offers a way to explore people, ideas, cultures, and the human experience.
My Experience
Alongside my academic journey, I have worked with an interdisciplinary education initiative where I curate curriculum, teach, and facilitate discussions around practical and applied psychology.
Rather than treating psychology as a collection of theories to memorize, I enjoy connecting it to everyday life, business, media, technology, behavior, decision-making, relationships, and personal growth.
Learners have consistently appreciated this practical and engaging approach, and I have been fortunate to receive positive feedback for making complex ideas accessible, relatable, and interesting.
Who I Work With
My sessions are suitable for:
• School students
• University students
• Adult learners
• Psychology enthusiasts
• Readers and book lovers
• Individuals interested in personal growth and behavioral science
Whether your goal is academic success, intellectual exploration, or personal development, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged, ideas are explored, and learning feels meaningful rather than mechanical.
If you're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, intellectually curious, and genuinely invested in helping you learn, I'd love to work with you.

My Teaching Approach:
I believe learning should be practical, engaging, and tailored to the individual. Every learner has a different pace, background, and way of understanding concepts, so I adapt my teaching style accordingly rather than following a rigid formula.
Whether you're studying for an exam, pursuing a personal interest, or looking to apply ideas in everyday life, my goal is to help you develop genuine understanding and confidence and not just memorize information.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
My sessions may include:
• Interactive discussions rather than one-way lectures
• Real-life examples and case studies
• Visual explanations, analogies, and storytelling
• Critical thinking and reflection exercises
• Guided reading and text analysis
• Practice questions and application-based learning
• Personalized feedback and learning strategies
• Session plans adapted to your goals and learning style
What a Typical Class Looks Like
A typical session may include:
• Understanding your goals and current level
• Learning key concepts through discussion and examples
• Applying ideas through activities, exercises, or analysis
• Clarifying doubts and questions
• Reviewing key takeaways and next steps
The exact structure varies depending on the subject and learner.
What Makes Me Different
• Patient, approachable, and non-judgmental teaching style
• Lessons adapted to your pace and learning preferences
• Strong focus on understanding rather than rote memorization
• Interest in connecting theory with real-life situations
• Comfortable teaching both academic and non-academic learners
• Passionate about Psychology and Literature, and committed to making them accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable
I particularly enjoy helping learners move beyond "studying a subject" to genuinely engaging with it and appreciating its relevance in everyday life.

Recommendations

Sanika takes the Psychology sessions at Restless Dreamers and she explains every concept using practical, real-life examples, which makes them much easier to understand. The activities are also really well designed and help understand the concepts being taught.
Since I don't come from a Psychology background, I was initially worried that I might find the sessions difficult to follow. But the way she teaches makes even topic easy to grasp and interesting to learn. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to learn Psychology.Sanika taught me psychology and her pedagogy was something i was in awe of - she focused more on activity-led interpretations than theoretical ones. that way has made psych very much interesting to me. she relates modern day example with 200 year old theory and delineates her explanation to cover wide spectrum like marketing, communication, organizational development.
loved her class and course! looking forward to attending more of her sessions -See more recommendations
