About Leo

I offer tutoring in essay writing, text response, and English literature analysis for students from Years 7 to university level. Each session is adapted to the student’s current focus — whether that’s:
• Planning and structuring an essay
• Responding to literary prompts
• Analyzing themes, character development, and language use
• Building strong introductions and thesis statements
• Understanding key literary devices and textual commentary
• English language pronunciation (Australian/British accents)

I use visual scaffolds, writing prompts, paragraph templates, and breakdown strategies to support students at different stages of the writing process. I also provide gentle feedback and encouragement to help students build their expression, voice and confidence. Typical sessions run for 45–60 minutes, with flexibility based on student needs. I offer both in-person and online sessions, and work well with students who benefit from structure, clarity, and step-by-step support.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Leo — a literacy coordinator and tutor with experience supporting students from Years 7 to university in English, academic writing, and literary analysis. I also offer pronunciation support specialising in Australian/British accents.

In my current school-based role, I help students build confidence in essay structure, text commentary, and writing fluency across a wide range of English tasks. I also support university students with academic writing, argument development, and planning assignments.

I hold a Bachelor of Science and Arts, with a major in History and additional experience in humanities, literature, and structured writing support. My approach is differentiated, strengths-based, and inclusive, making it especially suited for students who are neurodiverse or overwhelmed by writing tasks.

I love helping students break down complex texts and prompts into their core components, develop clear written arguments, and grow their confidence as thinkers and writers.
