About Jules
I have a BA in English, Literature and Civilisation with my speciality being French as a Foreign Language and I am currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Sociocultural Linguistics.
I have professional experience in language teaching, both French and English and in the classroom, in small groups and in one-to-one tutoring private lessons.

I worked as a French Language Assistant at a London inner-city school for a year. I was mainly working with Y10, Y11, Y12 and Y13 in the classroom, in small groups and individually. I was in charge of preparing them for their GCSEs and A-Levels, therefore I have a good understanding of these two exams.
I put great emphasis on learning language alongside with cultural aspects of the country or countries where the language is spoken. I often base my lessons on authentic sources so that they can act as a starting point for whatever activity comes next.
I tailor my one-to-one sessions to my students’ individual needs. In order to do so, the first session is a mix between an introduction to my way of teaching and a casual chat on personal motivations for taking on language lessons and expectations from the lessons.
I am an enthusiastic and positive person. I am pretty laid-back although I insist on students being active in the learning process, which means I expect them to come to class prepared.

Details
I charge £22 per hour.
The first lesson is free and will last 45min.
Free cancellation until 24 hours before the scheduleded class. If the class is cancelled less than 24 hours before, 50% of the normal price will be charged.
