About KATLEGO
Hello! I am a qualified Life Sciences teacher with a Bachelor of Education specialising in Life Sciences, In the University of North West. I am passionate about helping learners understand Biology in a simple, practical and enjoyable way.
I became interested in teaching because I enjoy taking concepts that may seem difficult at first and making them easier to understand. I believe every learner can improve when they receive clear explanations, patience and the right support.
My lessons are friendly, interactive and focused on understanding rather than memorising. I want my learners to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them. Most importantly, I want to help you build confidence in Life Sciences and discover that learning science can actually be exciting!

Life Sciences Online Tutor | Grades 10–12
I provide supportive, structured and engaging online Life Sciences tutoring for high-school learners in Grades 10–12.
My approach focuses on helping learners understand Life Sciences rather than simply memorise facts. I break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and use diagrams, practical examples, terminology exercises and examination-style questions to strengthen understanding.
I can assist learners with:
• Understanding challenging Life Sciences concepts
• Biological terminology and scientific vocabulary
• Interpreting and labelling biological diagrams
• Data-response and investigation questions
• Graphs, tables and calculations in Life Sciences
• Test and examination preparation
• Homework and revision
• Working through past examination questions
• Improving examination answering techniques
• Identifying areas where the learner needs additional support
Topics can include cells and cell division, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, gaseous exchange, transport systems, human reproduction, genetics, evolution, homeostasis, the nervous and endocrine systems, ecology and other Grade 10–12 Life Sciences topics.
Each lesson is adapted to the learner's needs. I first identify areas of difficulty, explain the content clearly, work through examples with the learner and then provide questions to assess understanding.
My goal is not only to help learners improve their results, but also to help them become more confident in Life Sciences and develop the skills needed to answer examination questions independently.
