About Carnice
Hi! My name is Carnice. I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have been licensed for 10 years. I have taught various courses from Intro Psych to providing supervision to doctoral interns. I enjoy helping others learn new things and finding creative ways to make learning engaging, interactive, and fun! I have worked with students for 10 years. I have successfully passed the EPPP, CPLEE, and jurisprudence exams. Additionally, I have navigated PSYPACT and CPQ credentialing and can help with those applications as well. When I’m not teaching I enjoy watching social media, learning new things, and spending time with my doggie, Izzy. Whether you are a beginner or professional, I can help. I am excited to walk with you on your educational journey. Together let’s see how far we can go!

Learning something new can be intimidating. Some students can become anxious about making mistakes. But trying and practicing are big parts of learning anything new. Learning can sometimes take courage and that’s why I will support and encourage you…to stay encouraged! I approach teaching in a relational, scaffolded, and experiential way. I adapt my approach to align with your unique learning style. I enjoy using learning strategies such as making meaning to improve comprehension, connecting concepts to increase relevance and retention, and application to gain practice in real time. Going at a comfortable but challenging pace, you’ll build your confidence and be empowered to put your new skills in action. I teach using relevant, fun, and creative lessons to help you successfully reach your goals.
The initial free session focuses on creating a personalized lesson plan. To support high school and undergraduate students, I provide up to 30 additional minutes at no extra charge, allowing extra time for concept review and questions. EPPP prep, graduate-level coursework, and other advanced topics are offered at the standard hourly rate due to the specialized nature of these sessions. Whether you’re taking your first psychology course, applying to grad programs, preparing for match day, or studying for the EPPP, my goal is to provide a supportive, engaging experience that helps you succeed.
