About Abigail

Hi! I’m a licensed English teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, majoring in English, and I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to teach students in the Philippines, Japan, and Australia.

I’ve taught in public schools, online classrooms, and 1-on-1 settings, so I’ve learned that every student is different—and that teaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all job!

I’m passionate about helping people become more confident in English, but I’m also a language learner myself. I’m currently learning Mandarin and have reached a conversational level, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for the joys (and occasional frustrations ) of learning a new language.

I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely curious about my students. I love getting to know the person behind the learner, finding what works for them, and celebrating those little “aha!” moments along the way. I’d love to be part of your English-learning journey!

About the lesson

Learning English doesn’t have to feel like memorizing endless grammar rules—or living inside a textbook! My goal is to make every lesson practical, engaging, and enjoyable while helping you become more confident using English.

I’m a licensed English teacher with experience teaching in the Philippines, Japan, and Australia, in classrooms, online, and 1-on-1. I tailor my lessons to your level, goals, interests, and learning style. We can work on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, or simply getting you more comfortable speaking English.

What makes me different? I’m a language learner too! I’m currently learning Mandarin and have reached a conversational level, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language—forgetting words, making mistakes, and occasionally wondering, “Why is this so hard?”

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and having fun while learning. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I’m here to help you make English feel easier, more natural and more enjoyable.
