About Nishchay
I am Nishchay, a Sport and Exercise Science student at Loughborough University, one of the world's leading institutions for sport, specialising in Exercise Physiology and Biochemistry. I hold Level 1 and 2 Swimming Teaching qualifications and have coached swimmers of all ages and abilities, from toddlers taking their very first strokes to teenagers developing competitive technique, at Loughborough Leisure Centre and Vicky Swim School. Alongside my studies, I work as a Sports Scientist with Loughborough Men's Rugby, which has sharpened my understanding of how people learn, move, and develop physically at every stage of life.
I have always believed that the best coaching starts with building trust. My lessons are calm, structured, and encouraging. I take the time to understand each swimmer's goals, comfort level, and learning style before we get in the water, and I tailor every session to the individual from there. Whether you are a complete beginner who is nervous about the water, a young child developing water confidence for the first time, or a more experienced swimmer looking to refine your technique, I will meet you exactly where you are and help you progress at a pace that feels right for you.
Sport has been a central part of my life since childhood. I competed at national and international level for ten years and I bring that same passion, patience, and attention to detail to every lesson I teach.

My approach to swimming teaching is built around confidence first and technique second — because in my experience, once a swimmer feels safe and relaxed in the water, everything else follows. I hold Level 1 and 2 Swimming Teaching qualifications and have coached swimmers of all ages and abilities, from toddlers taking their first dip to teenagers refining their stroke for competition. Lessons typically run between 30 and 60 minutes depending on age and ability, and every session is planned around the individual — I break skills down into manageable steps, use clear demonstrations and positive reinforcement, and adapt my communication style to suit each learner. My BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University gives me a strong understanding of movement and motor learning that underpins everything I do in the water, and I genuinely love watching swimmers grow in both ability and confidence over time.
