I only like to walk one-to-one, as I think this allows the individual to learn effectively without any distractions. It also allows the individual to feel more relaxed and comfortable when they wish to ask questions, or don’t exactly understand.
I approach each topic right from the start of the course (if the individual is new to the course), or I will ask the individual the specific parts of the course that they are struggling with, and I shall take it from there.
I am happy to provide textbooks/print outs of work for the individual , and will even set small tasks for them to complete in their own time; this allows for individual thinking, which is vital during GCSE exams.
