About Sofia
I have been playing the piano for about 10 years, and have been learning music for even longer. I have recently passed the RCM level 10 examination with First-Class Honours, and am working towards achieving my ARCT diploma. I am an enthusiastic teacher who is patient, attentive, and reliable. Although I am still a student myself, I am organized, responsible, mature, and have teaching/tutoring experience in other subjects. I enjoy working with kids and hope to utilize my communication and technical abilities to share my interests and knowledge with those around me.

Playing the piano and understanding music can be difficult and intimidating tasks. Nonetheless, the rewarding feeling of achieving your goals and mastering your musical dreams makes the hard work worth it. I strive to bring a positive attitude to my lessons, encouraging students every step of the way, and supporting them as they achieve incredible things!
My teaching methods and curriculum follow the RCM requirements. However, the lessons and pace will vary depending on the individual's strengths and goals. I am open to teaching individuals of all ages from beginner to level 3.
For beginners, a starting point would be to become familiar with reading music and understanding the keyboard. From there, the lessons will include building up musical knowledge by learning and practicing different songs. For more experienced players, the lessons would be focused on learning and perfecting different pieces in the RCM curriculum.
